Welcome to the Browne Lab!
The Browne Lab is led by Dr Shane Browne and is based in the Department of Anatomy & Regenerative Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), as part of the Tissue Engineering Research Group (TERG).
The Browne Lab aims to develop innovative biomaterials systems for tissue engineering and repair. These biomaterials systems are applied as regenerative therapies and as in vitro models, with a number of projects focused on strategies for cell encapsulation and therapeutic delivery. In particular, we are focused on soft tissue repair, including novel treatment modalities and models of chronic wounds and other skin conditions.
