Julie presents at WHS/SAWC Spring 2025 Conference

Julie Gawenda, 2nd year MSc Student, and Dr. Browne attended the Wound Healing Society (WHS)/Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring 2025 Conference in Grapevine, Texas alongside our collaborator from Hollister Abe Janis! Julie presented posters on the work that she and Dr. Mirella Ejiugwo have been doing focusing on the active constituents in dejecta and the role they play in the development of peristomal skin complications.
Additionally, Julie presented work from the wider Hollister-sponsored project focusing on the role of pH, bile acids and bacteria in skin damage and PSC development.
We are grateful to Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Hollister Incorporated for funding this project, and look forward to continuing this exciting work!
