Noémie & Julie present at SIS-E 2025 in Dublin

Noémie Petit, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Julie Gawenda, 2nd year MSc Student presented posters at the 37th European Annual Congress on Surgical Infections (SIS-E) 2025, which recently took place at RCSI, Dublin. Noémie presented her recently published work on the development of antimicrobial hyaluronic acid-based hydrogels, while Julie discussed the role of gut bacteria in peristomal skin complications. Well done Noémie and Julie!
Our collaborator Dr. Sinéad O’Donnell, Clinical Microbiologist at Beaumont Hospital and Julie’s co-supervisor, delivered the Semmelweis Lecture. Dr. O’Donnell discussed the innovative research in peristomal wound infection being conducted in the Browne Lab.
