Browne Lab organizes PPI outreach event for ostomates at RCSI

1st year MSc student, Julie Gawenda, was awarded RCSI Seed Funding for Patent and Public Involvement (PPI) in Research from the Office of Research and Innovation in November 2023.
With the support of this funding, we were able to organize a PPI event, directly involving ostomates (patients with ostomies) in our research. On Friday, April 5th, Julie and Mirella welcomed six ostomates to 123 St. Stephen’s Green to discuss ostomy complications, stoma care & management, and visions for innovation in ostomy care.
